Royal Caribbean’s Private Destination Plans

 When a cruise itinerary includes a visit to a private destination, it’s usually one of the most popular ports of call. After all, when a cruise line owns a property, it can make it the stuff of passengers’ dreams.

Royal Caribbean is adding to its collection of private destinations, which already includes Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas and Labadee on the north shore of Haiti. This December, the cruise line will open Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, near Nassau in The Bahamas. And, late 2027 will see the debut of Perfect Day Mexico on the Costa Maya.

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island occupies a barrier island just outside Nassau. Five custom-built water taxis will be on hand to transfer passengers from the ship to the club. A day pass purchase is required, which includes just about everything you’ll need while enjoying the club – unlimited food and beverages, Wi-Fi access, and amenities like beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas.

The club has three neighborhoods, all with beachfrontage, a pool with a swim-up bar, music, and dining. Party Cove’s Floating Flamingo may be the world’s largest swim-up bar – it has 110 seats for you and your friends. There’s a restful atmosphere at Chill Beach. And families will flock to Family Beach, with its zero-entry pool and spectacular Ultimate Family Cabana. This two-story structure has space for dining and lounging, a private bathroom, and – perhaps most importantly – its own frozen drink machine.

Note that Royal Caribbean plans to open two more Royal Beach Clubs: one on the Mexican island of Cozumel in 2026, and one on the shores of Lelepa, in the South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu, in 2027.

Perfect Day Mexico is currently scheduled to open in fall 2027, and its seven planned neighborhoods promise an incredible day on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.

Guests will be welcomed by Mexican music and dance in the colorful Fiesta Plaza. From there, they can enjoy the nearly two miles of white sand at Chill Beach North and South; the upscale vibe of Costa Beach Club; Splash Cove, with the world’s longest lazy river; and Loco Waterpark, with more than 30 thrilling water slides. El Hideaway will be an adults-only neighborhood that will include an Ultimate Party Cabana for up to 20 guests.

Accommodations for Solo Cruisers

If you’re interested in cruising on your own but not in sharing a cabin, good news: there is a growing number of cruise ship cabins designed for one. And, these single-occupancy cabins come at single-occupancy prices.
